It was a close match between Östersund and Malmö FF at Jämtkraft Arena on Sunday afternoon. The home team, Östersund, started strong and created several dangerous chances in the first half, but Malmö FF's goalkeeper Johan Dahlin stood firm and kept a clean sheet.

Östersund received an early warning in the 16th minute, but that did not prevent them from continuing to create chances. After half an hour of play, they suffered a major setback when their center-back Samuel Laryea Mensiro sustained an injury and was forced to be substituted. Curtis Edwards replaced him.

Malmö FF fought their way into the match and had a chance in the 37th minute when Eric Larsson shot over the goal. At the end of the first half, Östersund had one last opportunity when Ken Sema shot towards goal, but Dahlin was there again and stopped the ball.

At halftime, Malmö FF substituted goalkeeper Dahlin for Dusan Melicharek. It was a balanced match in the second half as well, but in the 59th minute, Östersund received a costly red card. Samuel Laryea Mensiro, who had already received a warning earlier in the match, picked up another one and was forced to leave the field.

Östersund had to play the rest of the match with one man down. Despite this, they created several good chances, but Malmö FF held strong. In the 82nd minute, Malmö FF brought on Markus Rosenberg and tried to push for a winning goal, but it was to no avail. The match ended 0-0 and both teams had to settle for one point each.

It was an entertaining match with many chances from both teams, but in the end, the goalkeepers were the stars, keeping the clean sheets. Referee Martin Strömbergsson did a good job, and the match was relatively fair, despite a couple of hard tackles. The attendance was 5,314, and they witnessed an exciting match between two evenly matched teams in the standings.
