Örebro impressed greatly and humiliated IK Sirius FK when they met at Studenternas in an Allsvenskan match on Saturday afternoon. The match started at a high tempo and just 15 minutes in, the away team took the lead through Carlos Strandberg, assisted by Martin Broberg. Strandberg continued to be in the spotlight and went on to score two more goals, one with an assist from Nordin Gerzic and the other a header following a cross from Broberg. The halftime score was 3-0 to Örebro.

After the break, it initially continued in the same vein. Strandberg scored his third goal and Örebro's fourth before Tim Björkström could reduce the deficit for the home team. IK Sirius FK made two substitutions, and this proved to be a successful tactic. Philip Haglund scored with a header, and Christer Gustafsson added another goal with assists from Haglund and Axel Björnström. However, it was not enough to turn the match around, and Örebro won 4-3.

The crowd at Studenternas could not believe their eyes as the first clear hat trick at the top level since 2010 became a reality. Örebro strengthened their seventh place in the table while IK Sirius FK continues to lag behind in the battle against relegation. Referee Fredrik Klitte had a relatively calm match but issued a warning to Örebro's Michael Almebäck and IK Sirius FK's Kebba Ceesay. The assistant referees were Peter Allheim and Niklas Nyberg. The match was attended by 3,480 spectators.
