IF Elfsborg managed to secure an away victory against GIF Sundsvall at NP3 Arena in a match that ended 1-2. It was IF Elfsborg who started the strongest, taking the lead in the 17th minute through Per Frick with an assist from Rasmus Alm. However, GIF Sundsvall quickly equalized as Eric Björkander headed in a ball from a corner taken by David Batanero Puigbó in the 19th minute.

Throughout the match, there were several important substitutions from both teams.
