The sun had already started to set over Eleda Stadion when Malmö FF and Helsingborgs IF kicked off their match in Allsvenskan. With a crowd of over 21,000 spectators, the atmosphere was electric when Glenn Nyberg blew the whistle to start the game.

Just thirteen minutes in, the first goal was scored, and it was the home team that had something to cheer about. Søren Rieks finished off a nice assist from Arnor Traustason, placing the ball in the net behind the Helsingborg goalkeeper.

Only a minute later, Rieks also found himself on the booking list after a tough tackle, but it was still 1-0 to Malmö. Seven minutes later, it happened again - Rieks received a pass from Traustason, tackled through, and scored Malmö's second goal. Helsingborg struggled to find their footing on the field, and after 38 minutes, it got even worse. Markus Rosenberg scored after a great interplay with Fouad Bachirou, and Malmö FF was now leading 3-0.

Helsingborg made two substitutions at halftime, but the changes did not help the visiting team much. Instead, it was Malmö that continued to press and create dangerous chances going forward. Despite Malmö players receiving two yellow cards during the match, nothing could stop them from dominating the field.

The match ended 3-0 in favor of the home team Malmö FF. The victory meant that Malmö FF climbed up to second place in the table while Helsingborgs IF continued to struggle to achieve their goals. Despite the result, it was an exciting match in Allsvenskan that provided plenty of entertainment for the more than 21,000 spectators in attendance.
