It was an exciting match between IF Elfsborg and AIK at Borås Arena on Sunday afternoon. Despite AIK being higher up in the table and favorites going into the match, it was IF Elfsborg who started strongest. However, after 57 minutes, Sivert Nilsen received a yellow card, which would turn out to be a match-defining event.

After 70 minutes, IF Elfsborg's Joseph Stanley Okumu also received a yellow card, and it seemed that frustration was starting to grow for the home team. In the 72nd minute, Samuel Holmén was substituted for Stefan Ishizaki, which did not yield the positive results that Elfsborg had hoped for.

Instead, it was AIK who scored after 75 minutes when Henok Goitom found the back of the net. Jesper Karlsson from Elfsborg received a yellow card just a few minutes later, and AIK continued to apply pressure. A substitution also took place, with Heradi Rashidi replacing Robert Lundström on the AIK side.

It seemed like AIK would take home the victory, but it was not quite over yet. In the 83rd minute, the home team had a chance, and Jonathan Levi managed to score, assisted by Jesper Karlsson. This gave Elfsborg new energy, and they began to try to reclaim the match. Sivert Nilsen was substituted for Simon Lundevall in the 84th minute, and shortly thereafter, Per Frick was replaced by Deniz Hümmet, but unfortunately, no more goals were scored.

The match ended in a closely contested 1-1 draw, and it was an exciting game for the 6,042 spectators at Borås Arena. While AIK remains in 3rd place in the table, Elfsborg is still stuck in 9th place.
