It was an exciting match between Mjällby AIF and AIK in the Allsvenskan on Sunday evening. The match was played at Strandvallen's A-field in front of an empty stand due to the prevailing circumstances. The referee for the evening was Mohammed Al-Hakim, assisted by Daniel Gustavsson and Marcus Lundgren Klitte.

However, AIK fought to get back into the game, and in the 40th minute, they were awarded a penalty, which was well converted by Enock Kofi Adu. The goal made it 1-1 and gave AIK new hope of taking three points home.
However, Mjällby AIF was not going to give up without a fight. In the 43rd minute, they earned a penalty themselves, and Moses Orwohicho Ogbu once again scored confidently from the spot. It was his sixth goal of the season and gave the home team a 2-1 lead.
The second half offered more chances, but neither team managed to find the back of the net. It turned into a physical match, and several players received yellow cards. Mohanad Jeahze was booked for Mjällby AIF in the 58th minute, while Per Karlsson received his second yellow card for AIK in the 41st minute and was forced to leave the field.
Both teams made several substitutions in an attempt to change the course of the match and create scoring opportunities. AIK brought in Ebenezer Ofori, Eric Kahl, and Nabil Bahoui in the 62nd minute, while Robert Lundström came on for Robin Tihi in the 66th minute. Mjällby AIF introduced Taylor Silverholt in the 72nd minute to strengthen their attacking play.
And that was exactly what Silverholt did. In the 76th minute, he managed to head in a ball after a fine assist from Max Watson, extending Mjällby AIF’s lead to 3-1. The goal came as a blow to AIK, and they could not get back into the match.
Both teams made additional substitutions in the closing minutes to manage their leads. Tom Strannegård came on for Felix Michel in the 79th minute for AIK, while David Batanero Puigbó and Adam Petersson replaced Viktor Gustafson and David Löfquist for Mjällby AIF in the 82nd and 85th minutes.
The match ended with a well-deserved victory for Mjällby AIF, who turned around their negative trend and secured three important points. AIK suffered yet another defeat and needed to continue searching for their first win in a long time. It was an exciting match filled with struggle and intensity, and Mjällby AIF showed strong play that led to their victory.
