Degerfors IF faced a challenge when they met Hammarby at Stora Valla in the Allsvenskan on Sunday afternoon. Degerfors had lost their last three matches and hoped for a victory to turn around their negative trend. With a crowd of 3,978 and referee Kristoffer Karlsson at the helm, the match started.

Unfortunately for Degerfors, Hammarby broke through the defense again, and Paulo José De Oliveira extended the lead to 3-0 in the 56th minute, assisted by Jeppe Andrup Andersen.

Degerfors IF continued to make substitutions to inject new energy into the team, but it was Hammarby that continued to dominate the match. In the 77th minute, Gustav Ludwigson scored for Hammarby, assisted by Aljosa Matko. The goal was Ludwigson's eleventh of the season and capstoned Hammarby's fine performance.

Towards the end of the match, Degerfors IF managed to get a consolation goal in the 88th minute. Victor Edvardsen scored, assisted by Axel Lindahl. Edvardsen has now scored 14 goals for the season. The match ended 4-1 in favor of Hammarby.

Degerfors IF had a tough match against a strong Hammarby team. Despite their efforts, they were unable to turn the match in their favor. Hammarby showcased their skilled play and secured a convincing victory. It remains to be seen how Degerfors IF will recover from this defeat and if they can get back on the winning track.
