Both teams then made a couple of substitutions to try to influence the final result. Sveinn Guðjohnsen replaced Simon Olsson for Elfsborg, and Rasmus Wiedesheim-Paul replaced David Löfquist for Mjällby. With just a few minutes left in the match, both Per Frick from Elfsborg and Carlos Moros Gracia from Mjällby received yellow cards from the referee in the 86th minute.
Despite intense play and several dangerous scoring chances, neither team succeeded in finding the back of the net again, and the match ended 0-2 in favor of Mjällby. This is an important victory for Mjällby, solidifying their position in the standings and climbing to third place. Elfsborg, on the other hand, remains at the bottom of the table with a tough challenge ahead to climb upward.
