There were a few more substitutions from both teams. John Guidetti also received a yellow card in the 89th minute. The match continued into stoppage time, but no further goals were scored. IFK Värnamo made their last substitutions, bringing in Hampus Näsström, Victor Larsson, and Edvin Becirovic in an attempt to turn the match around, but it was in vain.

AIK held on and won the match 3-2. Nicolas Stefanelli celebrated his third goal of the season, and AIK left Finnvedsvallen as the winners. Despite the loss, IFK Värnamo showed fighting spirit and put in a strong performance in front of their home crowd.
