Djurgården's poor form leading up to the match meant that Malmö FF entered Eleda Stadion on this Thursday evening with great confidence. With an attendance of 16,703 spectators and the referee trio of Fredrik Klitte, Mehmet Culum, and Marcus Lundgren Klitte at the helm, an exciting match was anticipated.

Already in the 5th minute, Malmö FF took the lead. Erdal Rakip received the ball in the penalty area and fired a well-placed shot that sailed into the net. Hugo Larsson provided the assist, and the home crowd erupted in celebration.
