Malmö FF hosted IK Sirius FK at Eleda Stadion in a match that turned out to be a clear victory for the home team. Already after five minutes of play, Malmö opened the scoring with a goal from Isaac Thelin, who received a nice assist from Gabriel Dal Toe Busanello.

IK Sirius FK tried to get back into the match, but struggled to create dangerous chances against a well-organized Malmö defense. However, during stoppage time in the first half, IK Sirius FK's Patrick Nwadike received a yellow card.
