It was an exciting match at Eleda Stadion as Malmö FF faced off against Mjällby AIF in front of nearly 20,000 spectators on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Malmö FF tried to equalize but struggled to break through Mjällby's strong defense. Instead, the visitors extended their lead in the 44th minute with another header, this time from Max Fenger, with an assist from David Löfquist.

After the halftime break, Malmö made three substitutions and once again tried to reduce the deficit, but Mjällby held firm and had several chances to score another goal. Viktor Gustafson and Herman Johansson each received a yellow card for the away team.

In the 88th minute, Viktor Gustafson was substituted for Ludvig Carlius for Mjällby, and the home team got a chance when Sebastian Nanasi scored to reduce the deficit with just under two minutes left in the match, with an assist from Isaac Thelin. Malmö FF fought for a final equalizer but was unable to get the ball in, and the match ended 1-2 in favor of Mjällby AIF.
