IF Brommapojkarna dominated the match against Halmstad at Grimsta IP 1 with a 3-1 victory. 1,606 spectators gathered to watch two focused teams compete in the Allsvenskan.

Brommapojkarna started strong and took an early lead in the 7th minute with a magnificent goal from Oscar Pettersson, assisted by Samuel Leach Holm. Just three minutes later, the team continued their offensive play when Alexander Johansson increased the lead to 2-0, again assisted by Samuel Leach Holm.

In the 24th minute, the lead was extended to 3-0 when Ludvig Fritzson scored with the help of a pass from Kevin Ackermann. Halmstad fought on, but just 12 minutes later, Naeem Mohammed managed to score a goal to reduce the deficit to 3-1.

In the second half, Halmstad battled hard and tried to create an opportunity to come back, but Brommapojkarna’s defense was too strong. In the 49th minute, Halmstad's Amir Al-Ammari received a yellow card for an attempt at simulation.

Halmstad made two substitutions in the 58th minute in an effort to regain control, but it was Brommapojkarna who made the first substitution in the 69th minute when Gustav Sandberg Magnusson came on for Wilmer Odefalk. Two more substitutions followed for the home team when Fredrik Nissen replaced Torbjörn Lysaker Heggem in the 69th minute, and Marijan Cosic came on for Oscar Pettersson in the 84th minute.

Halmstad's Andreas Johansson received a yellow card in the 72nd minute, and Brommapojkarna’s Rebin Sulaka and Zeidane Inoussa came on for Tim Waker and Alexander Johansson in the 80th minute to further strengthen the team’s defense.

With a secure 3-1 lead that Brommapojkarna built in the first half of the match, there was no doubt about which team would take the next important step in the competition. Despite Halmstad's attempts to recover, they were unable to make a comeback as referee Richard Sundell blew the whistle to end the match after 90 minutes.
