Kalmar FF emerged victorious in their matchup against Degerfors IF at Stora Valla in the Allsvenskan. The visitors started strong and took the lead just 14 minutes into the match with a penalty kick by Simon Skrabb. Degerfors tried to get back into the game, but Kalmar was the better team and doubled their lead in the 40th minute. Deniz Hümmet scored the goal with an assist from David Kristjan Olafsson.

Shortly before halftime, Melker Hallberg scored Kalmar FF's third goal from a free kick. However, Degerfors IF managed to pull one back early in the second half through Gustav Lindgren, assisted by Hugo Bolin. But it proved to be too little, too late for the home team, which had already suffered a dismissal for Rasmus Örqvist.

Kalmar substituted Jacob Trenskow for Noah Shamoun in the 56th minute, and Degerfors IF's Rasmus Örqvist received his second yellow card and subsequent red card in the 63rd minute. Degerfors made several attempts to get back into the game with multiple substitutions, but Kalmar controlled the play and secured a well-deserved victory. The match ended 1 - 3 in favor of Kalmar FF.
