It was an exciting match played at Stora Valla, when Degerfors IF faced Mjällby AIF in the Allsvenskan on Sunday afternoon. Before the match, Degerfors was second to last in the table, while Mjällby was in tenth place.

The match was even during the first 20 minutes, but then Mjällby took control of the game. In the 24th minute, Mjällby made their first substitution when Imam Jagne replaced Adam Petersson. Mjällby continued to press, but Degerfors held firm.

In the 28th minute, Mjällby made their second substitution when Argjend Miftari replaced Colin Rösler. However, it was Degerfors that scored the first goal in the 51st minute, thanks to Gustav Lindgren. The joy was short-lived, however, as Rasmus Wikström received a yellow card for Mjällby just three minutes later.

In the 61st minute, Degerfors made their first substitution when De Pievre Ilunga came on for Sebastian Ohlsson, but he received a yellow card just a minute later. Mjällby capitalized on this when Tom Pettersson scored his first goal in the 65th minute, assisted by Imam Jagne.

Mjällby made two substitutions in the 66th minute, when Chibuike Silas Nwankwo replaced David Löfquist and Max Fenger replaced Jacob Bergström. They then made another substitution in the 70th minute, when Love Björnson replaced Chibuike Silas Nwankwo.

Degerfors responded with three substitutions in the 71st minute, when Justin Salmon replaced Jamie Bichis, Diego De Jesus Campos Ballestero replaced Pashang Abdulla, and Joseph-Claude Agyeman Gyau replaced Oscar Wallin. Mjällby’s Jesper Gustavsson received a yellow card in the 86th minute.

Mjällby managed to score the decisive goal in the 90th minute, when Tom Pettersson scored his second goal of the day, assisted by Imam Jagne.
