After the goal, both teams continued to battle hard, but no more goals were scored. Jitex BK tried to bring on fresh players to get back into the game, but Djurgården remained resolute and held onto their lead until the final whistle.

Djurgården could thus celebrate an important victory at home in front of their fans and continue their pursuit of the top positions in the Damallsvenskan. Jitex BK returned home with a bitter aftertaste but with their heads held high after a valiant effort.
