It was Sunday evening, and Behrn Arena was filled with 498 spectators for the exciting match between KIF Örebro DFF and Djurgården in the Damallsvenskan. Referee Tess Olofsson and her assistants Alexander Milovanovic and Mikael Andersson kept a constant eye on the game.
The match started off uneventfully, but in the nineteenth minute, the first real chance came when Sarah Michael made an attempt for the home team. It was in the twentieth minute that KIF Örebro made the most of their opportunity when Sarah Michael put the ball in the net, putting pressure on Djurgården with a score of 1-0.
In the second half, KIF Örebro continued to dominate, and it didn't take long until the fifty-ninth minute when Ólína Guðbjörg Viðarsdóttir increased the lead to 2-0, assisted by Marie Hammarström Liljesson. Djurgården tried to keep up, but it was difficult against KIF Örebro's strong offense and defense.
After sixty-two minutes, KIF Örebro substituted Kim Ekebom Arodin in for Edda Gardarsdóttir. Djurgården attempted to bring in Alexandra Höglund for Natalia Fuentes, who was exhausted after sixty-four minutes. Caroline Lundberg also came on for Dóra María Lárusdóttir.
After seventy-two minutes, Elin Magnusson scored for KIF Örebro, assisted by Kim Ekebom Arodin. It was a beautiful strike that lifted the atmosphere in the arena. Shortly after, KIF Örebro substituted Emelia Nydén for Hanna Åbom. Djurgården tried to bring in Irma Helin Zibanejad for Matilda Rosqvist, but it had little effect.
In the seventy-fourth minute, it was time for another goal for the home team. Emelia Nydén put the ball in the net, assisted by none other than Sarah Michael. It was a superb performance from KIF Örebro, demonstrating their dominance at home.
In the final minutes of the match, Marie Hammarström Liljesson was substituted out for Linda Hallin. The score held, and KIF Örebro won convincingly with 4-0. It was an impressive performance from the home team, who celebrated the victory in front of their fans.
