On Sunday afternoon, it was time for an exciting match between Tyresö FF and Kristianstads DFF at Tyresövallen 1. The crowd was energized and expectations were high ahead of the kickoff.
The match started with high intensity from both teams, and after sixteen minutes, Kristianstad took the lead when Therese Björck Paréus scored, assisted by Susanne Moberg. However, Tyresö quickly responded, and Madelaine Edlund equalized to 1-1 after a nice assist from Marta Vieira Da Silva thirty-five minutes into the match.
Unfortunately for Tyresö, they lost one of their players to a warning when Johanna Frisk received a yellow card just minutes before halftime. In the second half, it was clear once again that both teams were here to win, and Therese Ivarsson was cautioned for Kristianstad after fifty-one minutes.
Sadly for Tyresö, their defense could not keep Kosovare Asllani at bay, and she managed to score with an assist from Moberg just six minutes later, putting Kristianstad ahead 2-1.
Tyresö desperately tried to equalize again, but instead, two of their players received yellow cards - Marta Vieira Da Silva and Kirsten Johanna Maria van de Ven - while Elaine Estrela Estrela Moura also received a caution and was substituted after sixty-three minutes.
Tyresö attempted again by substituting in Veronica Boquete Giadans and Pauline Hammarlund, but Kristianstad kept them in check and managed to hold on until the final whistle. Sophie Schmidt came on for Kristianstad, but it was Tyresö that made one last substitution, bringing in Elisabet Klinga for Estrela Moura just before the final whistle.
Tyresö's home loss was a tough blow for the team after a hard-fought match where much was at stake. Kristianstad showed a strong team performance and was able to take home three points.
