Linköping FC secured an important away victory against AIK FF at Skytteholms IP in front of an audience of only 84 people. Despite AIK FF taking the lead in the 63rd minute through Clara Markstedt, Linköping managed to turn the match around and win 3-1.
After AIK's opening goal, Linköping responded quickly, equalizing through Lisa de Vanna in the 69th minute. They then took the lead at 2-1 in the 81st minute with a goal from Pernille Mosegaard Harder. AIK tried to come back into the match by making a couple of substitutions, but it was Linköping that sealed the deal in the fifth minute of stoppage time with a goal from Gabriella Maria Melis, assisted by Pernille Mosegaard Harder.
The victory meant that Linköping could maintain their third place in the table, while AIK FF continued to sit at the bottom. Referee Sandra Mårdh had good control over the match and kept the players in check despite some heated situations.
AIK FF now has to recharge for their next match and attempt to climb the table, while Linköping can celebrate their three points and continue the pursuit of the league title.
