It was an exciting match between Djurgården and Piteå IF on Saturday afternoon at Stockholm Stadium 1. In front of a small crowd of 187 people, the match started quite evenly, and neither team could create any significant scoring opportunities during the first 45 minutes.

In the 48th minute, Djurgården took the lead through Magdalena Eriksson, which made the home team more confident on the field. However, it didn't take long before Piteå IF responded back, in the 58th minute, with a goal from Josefin Johansson.

Djurgården then came back with Mia Jalkerud in the 67th minute, giving the home team a 2-1 lead assisted by Jessica Landström. Katrin Jonsdottir then extended the lead further in the 78th minute by making it 3-1 for Djurgården.

Piteå IF desperately tried to get back into the match and substituted in Hanna Pettersson for Victoria Forsmark in the 59th minute. Erika Karlsson and Jessica Lundgren also had the chance to show themselves from the bench in the 80th and 82nd minutes, respectively.

Djurgården also made player substitutions, bringing in Madeleine Stegius and Irma Helin Zibanejad in the 85th minute for Mia Jalkerud and Jessy Sharro. This seemed to help the home team further, as Jessica Landström then scored her second goal of the day in the 87th minute with assistance from Magdalena Eriksson.

However, Piteå IF did not give up and managed to score two quick goals in the closing minutes. Jennifer Nobis netted two goals in the 89th and 90+1 minutes, making the final score 4-3 in favor of Djurgården.

Thus, Djurgården succeeded in winning their last match of the season. Despite the victory, they finish second to last in the Damallsvenskan table while Piteå IF ends up in eighth place, a consistent position from recent matches. Referee Sara Persson and assistants Fatos Lloncari and Richard Holöien helped keep the atmosphere lively on the field throughout the match.
