Match Report:

It was a sunny Sunday afternoon at Malmö IP when FC Rosengård hosted Piteå IF in the Damallsvenskan. The attendance was 615 spectators, and referee Camilla Eriksson was on hand to officiate the match, assisted by Per Uppsäll and Jilan Taher.

Just three minutes into the game, the home team took the lead when Ramona Bachmann scored the opening goal after a fine pass from Anja Mittag. Piteå IF received a warning after 19 minutes when Pauline Hammarlund picked up a yellow card.

It didn’t take long for FC Rosengård to extend their lead, this time through Anja Mittag who made it 2-0 after an assist from Kirsten Johanna Maria van de Ven in the 27th minute. Just before halftime, Anja Mittag scored another header to make it 4-0 after a nice pass from Lina Nilsson.

During the halftime break, both teams made one change, with Anita Asante coming on for FC Rosengård. In the 55th minute, Sara Björk Gunnarsdottir extended the lead to 5-0 after yet another assist from Anja Mittag.

Piteå IF managed to reduce the deficit in the 62nd minute when Pauline Hammarlund scored to make it 5-1, and she then completed her hat-trick with two quick goals in the 73rd minute, bringing the final score to 5-2 in favor of FC Rosengård.

The match featured many goals and the pace was maintained until the final whistle. FC Rosengård showcased impressive attacking football and secured three points in the standings. Piteå IF fought bravely but couldn’t catch up after a tough first half. An entertaining encounter that impressed the crowd at Malmö IP.
