But AIK did not want to give up, and in the 35th minute, Julia Zigiotti Olme managed to reduce the deficit to 3-1, giving AIK a glimmer of hope to come back.
However, that hope didn't last long as Eskilstuna responded once more. Elena Sadiku completed her hat trick with a fine pass from Annica Barsley, increasing the lead to 4-1.
AIK attempted substitutions to get back into the game, but it was Eskilstuna that was the stronger team on the pitch. In the 86th minute, Felicia Rogic sealed the match, extending the lead to 5-1 after a nice pass from Olivia Schough.
Eskilstuna United DFF won the crucial home match with a score of 5-1, which gives them greater confidence as the season continues. AIK returns home with a heavy defeat and much to ponder ahead of their next match.
