Hammarby IF FF showed their best side when they faced KIF Örebro DFF in today’s Damallsvenskan match at Zinkensdamms IP 1. The match started strong for Hammarby with two quick goals from Julia Zigiotti Olme and Alma Nygren just eight minutes in. The visiting team, KIF Örebro DFF, struggled to recover from this and watched as Hammarby scored two more goals before halftime through Frida Sjöberg and once again, Alma Nygren.
During the halftime break, KIF Örebro DFF made two substitutions in an attempt to get back into the match. However, Hammarby continued to dominate with their play, and impressive defender Julia Zigiotti Olme received a yellow card after 49 minutes. Filippa Angeldahl then scored on a nice pass from Olga Ekblom. KIF Örebro DFF was able to pull one back through Julia Spetsmark in the 57th minute. But Hammarby responded immediately with Olga Ekblom scoring the team’s sixth goal. In the remainder of the match, both teams had chances to score more goals, but there were no additional goals beyond the six that Hammarby had already scored.
With this significant victory, Hammarby IF FF solidifies their ninth place in the Damallsvenskan, while KIF Örebro DFF remains at the bottom of the table.
