In the sunshine at Kristianstad Arena's artificial grass field 2, the match between Kristianstad DFF and Kvarnsvedens IK began. Already after 10 minutes, the home team took the lead through Rita Chikwelu, who scored from the penalty spot. Rebecca Edwards then extended the lead with a long-range shot in the 18th minute. However, Kvarnsvedens IK quickly responded through Tabitha Chawinga, who reduced the score to 2-1.

In the second half, it was again Kristianstad DFF that controlled the match. Rita Chikwelu scored her second goal from the penalty spot, and then Therese Ivarsson increased the lead to 4-1 with an assist from Amanda Edgren. Kvarnsvedens IK, however, did not give up, and Elizabeth Addo reduced it to 4-2 with a fantastic free-kick goal.

In the 93rd minute, the match was definitively decided when Hanna Wayburne scored to make it 5-2 for Kristianstad DFF. The referee then blew the final whistle, and the crowd at Kristianstad Arena could celebrate a victory for the home team. With the win, Kristianstad DFF secured a fifth-place finish in the table, while Kvarnsvedens IK had to settle for second to last.
