Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC secured an important victory against league leaders FC Rosengård in a highly intense match at Ullevi. The home team started strong and within three minutes, Elin Rubensson scored the opening goal with a nice pass from midfield. Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC continued to dominate and controlled the game for large parts of the first half. After 35 minutes, Rubensson added to her tally with a beautiful finish to the right of the goalkeeper, following a great assist from Rebecka Blomqvist.
In the second half, FC Rosengård came to life, reducing the deficit in the 49th minute through Caroline Seger, who headed in a ball after a corner. Two minutes later, Lisa-Marie Utland set up the equalizer after a quick counterattack. Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC responded by bringing on Amanda Johnsson Haahr and Filippa Curmark to try and create more offensive play, and that was exactly what was needed. After 90 minutes the score was 2-2, but in the 90th minute, it was Blomqvist's turn to score, this time from a pass by goalkeeper Loes Geurts. In the sixth minute of added time, Julia Zigiotti Olme sealed the match with a shot high into the net, following a fine pass from Pauline Hammarlund. The match ended 4-2 in favor of Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC, who thus secured second place in the table, while FC Rosengård had to settle for third place.
