IFK Värnamo won a closely contested match against Bergdalens IK on Saturday afternoon. The match, played at home at Finnvedsvallen, did not draw much of a crowd, and referee Elin Pettersson had her hands full managing the players.

Already in the 11th minute, Linda Persson opened the scoring for Värnamo, and just fifteen minutes later she struck again, giving the home team a two-goal lead.

However, Bergdalen did not give up, and ten minutes into the second half, Tove Lorén managed to reduce the deficit to 2-1. Shortly thereafter, IFK Värnamo made a substitution, bringing in Olivia Montero.

In the 62nd minute, Lorén struck again and equalized for the away team. But just a few minutes later, it was Amanda Heiel who scored to make it 3-2 for Värnamo.

Bergdalen’s coach made two substitutions later on, but it didn’t help, and the match ended with a victory for IFK Värnamo.
