Mariebo IK achieved a dominant victory against Vimmerby IF at Stadsparksvallen in Jönköping. The match between the Division 1 Mellersta Götaland women's teams started at 7:00 PM on Thursday evening, with an attendance of 110 spectators.

It took only eight minutes for the home team to score the first goal, thanks to Ida Andersson. However, Vimmerby quickly responded with a goal from Frida Pöder, which equalized the score to 1-1 in the seventh minute. Mariebo, however, quickly answered back in the 21st minute with a penalty goal from Rahwa Mehari Solomun, and seven minutes later, Amanda Roos headed the ball into the net, scoring the third goal for the home team. The fourth goal came in the 42nd minute, again scored by Ida Andersson.

Vimmerby tried to change the course of the match and made a substitution at halftime, bringing in Vilma Winqvist for Julia Rosin. But it was Mariebo IK who continued to dominate the game, with Johanna Georgsson scoring the fifth goal in the 48th minute.

In the 72nd minute, Rahwa Mehari Solomun scored her second goal of the evening with another penalty, and Nathalie Milton from Vimmerby received a yellow card. In the 74th minute, Ida Andersson struck again, scoring her third goal of the match, completing a hat trick. Mariebo IK made two substitutions after the goal, with Alicia Ibrahim coming in for Rahwa Mehari Solomun and Hanna Gustavsson for Ida Andersson.

Vimmerby also made two substitutions, but it didn’t help as Johanna Georgsson scored the eighth and final goal of the evening. The match ended 8-1, allowing Mariebo IK to celebrate a resounding home victory. Referee Peter Junhem, along with his assistants Jesper Rygert and Ahmed Najeeb, kept control of the game throughout the match.
