Mariebo IK took an early lead in the match after only six minutes when Tilda Holmér placed the ball into the net. IFK Värnamo quickly responded and equalized through Fanny Holmberg after 14 minutes. However, Mariebo continued to push forward, and Amanda Roos made it 2-1 in the 28th minute. Elin Kammenhed then extended the lead with two quick goals just before halftime, resulting in a 4-1 lead for Mariebo.

IFK Värnamo tried to come back into the match, but Mariebo's defense held firm, and they continued to find the net going forward. Maja Andersson scored to make it 5-1 for the home team in the 70th minute, which also became the final score.

Despite several substitutions on both sides during the match, it was Mariebo IK that had control of the game and maintained their grip on the top of the table in Division 1 Mellersta Götaland. IFK Värnamo fought hard but could not withstand Mariebo's attacking play at Stadsparksvallen in Jönköping.
