It was a one-sided match when Gothenburg's DFF faced BK Kenty in Division 1 Mellersta Götaland for women on Saturday evening. Despite the absence of an audience at Valhalla 1 Artificial Turf, the home team delivered a goal fest and won with a resounding 7-1.
Gothenburg's DFF started the match aggressively and were the better team from the very first minute. Just six minutes in, they took the lead when Elin Flakberg found the back of the net. The home team continued to press and created more chances. In the 54th minute, Olivia Alcaide shot in to make it 2-0 for Gothenburg's DFF. Just seven minutes later, Frida Bremer scored the goal that gave the home team a 3-0 lead.
BK Kenty substituted two players in the 62nd minute, but it didn’t help much. Instead, Gothenburg's DFF continued to dominate the match. Anna Flakberg made it 4-0 in the 64th minute, and Frida Bremer scored her second goal of the evening in the 70th minute.
BK Kenty tried to get back into the match, but it was too late. Emilia Stjerna received a yellow card in the 75th minute and was also substituted. Gothenburg's DFF also made two substitutions, bringing in Nora Sæther and Emma Lorenzen, both of whom contributed to Gothenburg's DFF's dominance on the field.
Olivia Alcaide scored her second goal of the evening in the 87th minute when she headed the ball into the net. BK Kenty experienced a consolation goal in the 88th minute when Matilda Öberg also headed the ball into the net. But it was Gothenburg's DFF who finished the match the strongest when Nora Sæther scored to make it 7-1 in stoppage time.
Referee Antti Kanerva did a good job on the field, assisted by Mustafa Kalajdzisalihovic and Ville Larsson. It was a well-played match by Gothenburg's DFF, and they justly won 7-1 against BK Kenty.
