Lidköpings FK hosted IK Gauthiod on a Thursday evening at Framnäs IP A-plan in front of an audience of 308 spectators. Referee Jorge Tarouco officiated the match with assistance from Adam Ljung and Viktor Sundberg.
The match began intensely, and just 10 minutes in, Lidköpings FK took the lead through Carin Nordmark. Only two minutes later, the team extended their lead with a goal from Sandra Lagerbratt, making it 2-0. However, IK Gauthiod did not back down and reduced the deficit to 2-1 with a goal from Elin Lundberg in the 14th minute.
After an intense first half, both teams continued to battle in the second half, but no further goals were scored. We did, however, see several substitutions from both sides. Lidköpings FK brought in Julia Appelberg and Malin Svensson, while IK Gauthiod opted for Jennie Torsell, Stina Nyberg, and Moa Heinulf.
In the 85th minute, IK Gauthiod's Ida Mörk received a yellow card, and the team made another substitution, bringing in Stina Nyberg for Kajsa Erlandsson. Despite making a final substitution with just minutes remaining, where Moa Heinulf replaced Hanna Österberg, the team was unable to equalize, and the match ended 2-1 in favor of Lidköpings FK.
It was an exciting match with many chances, and Lidköpings FK managed to hold on for an important home victory.
