Rävåsens IK Karlskoga came out victorious in a well-played match against IK Rössö Uddevalla at Kilsta IP 2 on Sunday. After a relatively even first half where both teams had chances to take the lead, it was Rävåsen who surged ahead to a 2-0 lead in just two minutes. First, Jade Flory scored a beautiful goal from a pass by Ida Nordström, and then Sara Lilja Vidlund extended the lead even further.
However, Uddevalla did not give up and managed to pull one back through Sofia Olsson just before halftime. Despite this, it was Rävåsens IK that continued to control the match, and in the second half, they pressed on further. After only three minutes of play, Flory scored her second goal of the day, making it 3-1.
Uddevalla kept fighting, but Rävåsen was clearly the better team on this day, and Flory completed her hat trick with a well-taken penalty after an hour of play. Despite multiple substitutions, Uddevalla was unable to threaten Rävåsen to any significant extent, and when the final whistle blew, it was clear: Rävåsens IK won the match by a convincing score of 4-1.
This was a strong performance from Rävåsen, who now move up the table and seem to have a good chance of maintaining their position in Division 1 Norra Götaland. For Uddevalla, it’s time to regroup after a less successful day at work and continue fighting to lift themselves up in the standings.
