It was a lovely Saturday afternoon with football at Sparbanksvallen in Stallaholm. In front of 93 spectators, IK Gauthiod faced off against Skövde KIK in an important match in Division 1 Northern Götaland for women. Referee Jacob Liljegren wanted a fair play match from the start, and that’s what he got.

After six minutes, the home team IK Gauthiod took the lead at 1-0 thanks to Josefin Andersson. Skövde KIK fought hard and created chances, but it wasn’t until the 44th minute that they managed to score. The goal was netted by Kavita Battan, and the halftime score was 1-1.

In the 55th minute, Skövde KIK made two substitutions, bringing in both Elin Ljungquist and Emma Scaro. This would prove to be a successful strategy. In the 82nd minute, Olivia Sandahl scored a beautiful goal for Skövde KIK, putting them in the lead at 1-2.

IK Gauthiod desperately tried to equalize, but it was Skövde KIK that would decide the match. In the 84th minute, Skövde KIK made their final substitution, bringing in Sara Lundin for Amanda Yammine. IK Gauthiod made one last attempt to bring in Stina Högemark in the 88th minute, but it was not enough. The match ended 1-2 in favor of Skövde KIK, who also took away three important points.
