It was an exciting match between IK Friscopojkarna and Torsby IF at Katebovallen A in Division 1 Norra Götaland for women. Torsby IF was in 3rd place in the table while IK Friscopojkarna was in 9th place, but that did not stop the home team from entering the match with a strong desire to win.
The match started evenly, and both teams created several chances, but it was Torsby IF who took the lead in the 28th minute when Linn Pettersson found the back of the net. Ten minutes later, Torsby IF extended their lead through Maja Johnsson. However, the home team did not give up, and Annelie Carli reduced the score to 1-2 in the 52nd minute. Just two minutes later, it was Carli again who scored IK Friscopojkarna's second goal.
Torsby IF then had a chance to bring on Elin Hedin in the 60th minute, but it was still IK Friscopojkarna who pressed for a leading goal. It was, however, Torsby IF who managed to score again through Maja Johnsson in the 76th minute.
IK Friscopojkarna did not give up, and in the 81st minute, Maja Hansson scored the home team's third goal. But it was too late to turn the match around, and Torsby IF held on until the final whistle.
It should also be noted that Cecilia Jonsson from IK Friscopojkarna received a yellow card in the 87th minute and that Emma Bengtsson Gelotte was substituted for Lisa Gustafsson in the 88th minute.
The match ended 3-3 and was very entertaining for those watching. However, no spectators were able to enjoy it live as the match was played without an audience due to restrictions in place during the coronavirus pandemic. The referee Elvir Gërxhaliu, assisted by Mohammad Bakar and Ellinor Hjärtqvist, was busy keeping track of all the events on the field.
