Lunnevi IP A-plan was the place this Saturday afternoon where IK Gauthiod and Råda BK faced off in Division 1 Norra Götaland for women. Unfortunately, no spectators were able to attend, but the match was nonetheless filled with excitement and drama.
Referee Rasmus Karlsson kicked off the match, and both teams threw themselves into the battle with great energy. Both teams had a few dangerous chances during the first half, but it was Råda BK that emerged victorious.
In the 29th minute, Råda BK made their first substitution when Caroline Berling came onto the field in place of Carin Nordmark. Shortly after this substitution, it would also become apparent that Råda BK was about to take the lead. In the 42nd minute, unfortunately for IK Gauthiod, they scored an own goal, and Råda BK could take the lead with 0-1.
Just after the decisive goal, Matilda Ahlstrand from IK Gauthiod received a warning from the referee in the 44th minute. In the second half, both teams continued to fight hard to take control of the match and score another goal. However, in the 66th minute, Ida Mörk from IK Gauthiod also received a warning from the referee.
Sometimes a substitution can be decisive in a match, and it would prove to be another important event when Josefine Johansson came on for IK Gauthiod in place of Agnes Österberg in the 70th minute. Johansson would later receive a warning from the referee in the 83rd minute.
Despite IK Gauthiod's efforts to equalize, Råda BK held firm and managed to win the match 0-1. A crucial victory for Råda BK and an unfortunate match for IK Gauthiod, who left the field without any points.
