Sävedalens IF achieved their first win in a long time in this year's Division 1 Norra Götaland for women as they defeated Rynninge IK away at Pettersbergs IP in Örebro with a score of 5-2.
The match started evenly, but it was Sävedalens IF that took the lead just three minutes in when Saga Fahlström put the ball behind the home goalkeeper. Rynninge then tried to equalize, but it wasn't until the 43rd minute that Isabelle Ramström managed to make it 1-1. Just before halftime, however, Saga Fahlström became a scorer once again and gave Sävedalen the lead at halftime with a score of 2-1.
In the second half, Sävedalen continued to dominate and quickly expanded their lead to 3-1 through Nicole Jankulovski in the 55th minute. Just six minutes later, Saga Fahlström scored her second goal of the match, completing her hat trick and increasing Sävedalen's lead to 4-1. In the 65th minute, Saga Willén made it 5-1, sealing the deal for Rynninge.
Rynninge attempted to reduce the deficit, but it wasn't until the 79th minute that Ida Bromsjö Tunmats managed to break through Sävedalen's defense and score to make it 2-5.
Sävedalens IF managed to hold on and could finally celebrate a convincing 5-2 victory away against Rynninge IK. The win marked Sävedalen's first three-point match since the first round in May and also meant that the team took over the direct relegation spot from Rynninge.
