IK Sirius FK secured an important victory in Sunday’s match against Dalkurd FF at Studenternas. The home team started off much stronger, and after just 16 minutes, they took the lead through Johan Arneng, who headed the ball in after a great corner from Kim Skoglund. After just over half an hour of play, Christer Gustafsson doubled the lead to 2-0 with a well-placed shot.

IK Sirius FK continued to dominate the match, and shortly thereafter, Kim Skoglund added a goal himself during a fine counterattack, where he faked out two defenders and placed the ball in the right corner. Dalkurd attempted to get back into the game, but they did not come closer than Gzim Istrefi’s consolation goal in the 76th minute.

However, IK Sirius FK was not done yet, and in the 88th minute, Oscar Pehrsson hammered in a 4-1 with a well-placed volley. The match thus ended with a victory for the home team, allowing them to maintain their position at the top of the table. Dalkurd FF remains in second place but needs to improve if they are to have any chance of challenging for the league title.
