IK Sirius FK showcased their superiority in Sunday’s match against Sandvikens IF at Studenternas. Sirius took the lead in the fourteenth minute when Karl Larson scored a beautiful goal into the net behind the Sandviken goalkeeper. After the first goal, Sirius upped the tempo which led to another strike in the net. It was Moses Orwohicho Ogbu who followed up with a goal after receiving a nice pass from a teammate.
Sandvikens IF tried to find their way back into the match, but Sirius was determined and continued to press high up the pitch. Sandviken's David Simbo received a warning in the seventeenth minute and was later substituted at halftime.
The second half continued at the same pace, with Ivan Jurkovic’s men continuing to dominate. Moses Orwohicho Ogbu scored his second goal and Sirius’ third goal in the 56th minute, and it was clear that Sandvikens IF was losing their strength. They made two substitutions, but it could not stop Sirius from scoring more goals.
In the next goal situation, it was Christer Gustafsson who got his foot on the ball and scored Sirius’ fourth goal in the 69th minute. Just a few minutes later, Dalil Benyahia capped off a nice play with a goal that made it 5-0 for Sirius.
Sandvikens IF received a warning in the 86th minute when Andrew Michael Stadler committed a foul. The match ultimately ended with a convincing 5-0 victory for IK Sirius FK, and the 1,362 spectators at Studenternas were not disappointed after watching their favorite team win so convincingly. Referee Kaspar Sjöberg and his assistants Daniel Iskander and Fikret Göker did a great job keeping the game clean and fair throughout the match.
