Västerås SK FK secured an important home victory against Nyköpings BIS after coming from behind. The match started intensely with two bookings in less than 20 minutes, one for each team. However, it was the visitors from Nyköping who took the lead in the 53rd minute when Samuel Kroon scored following a nice combination.

But just a minute later, Västerås equalized through Simon Johansson, and a little over ten minutes later, they took the lead through Filip Tronét. Tronét also increased the lead in the 64th minute, scoring his second goal of the day, this time with a header.

Nyköping desperately tried to get back into the match, but Västerås defended well and kept the visitors at bay. The home team substituted Douglas Karlberg in place of the two-goal scorer Tronét, while Nyköping brought on Coy Craft in an attempt to find a way to reduce the deficit.

The match became chaotic towards the end, with three Västerås players receiving yellow cards, one of which went to Carlos Gaete Moggia, who was close to being sent off. Nyköping introduced Joakim Juhlin in an attempt to create something in attack, but it would not save the team from defeat. Sebastian Lindberg Gumpfer received a yellow card for Nyköping in the closing stages before the referee blew the whistle to end the match.

Västerås SK FK now moves to the top of the league, while Nyköping BIS remains in a modest position in the table. The audience at Hitachi Energy Arena witnessed an entertaining match where Västerås ultimately proved to be the stronger team.
