It was a sunny Saturday afternoon at Tibblevallen when Täby FK faced off against Vaksala SK in Division 1 Northern Svealand for women. With only 21 spectators in the stands, the match quickly kicked off with a swift opening goal for the home team, Täby FK. Sofia Ek scored in the 7th minute, and shortly thereafter, Petra Sundqvist and Lilja Björk extended the lead to 3-0 within the first 20 minutes. Vaksala SK had a tough challenge ahead.
It became even harder for the away team when Paulina Löf was sent off in the 27th minute. However, despite being a player down, Malin Pettersson managed to reduce the deficit for Vaksala SK just before halftime, giving the team a glimmer of hope for the second half.
But it was Täby FK that continued to dominate the match and extend their lead. Mimmi Engberg and Samantha Ammanuel scored two quick goals at the beginning of the second half. Despite Vaksala SK trying to make a couple of substitutions to change the course of the game, it was ultimately Samantha Ammanuel who sealed the deal with her second goal of the day in the 66th minute.
The score held until the final whistle and Täby FK could celebrate a convincing victory with a score of 6-1 over Vaksala SK. With this win, Täby FK climbed up the table while Vaksala SK would take lessons from the match to turn the trend in upcoming games. Referee George Jomaa maintained control over the match and kept a close eye on the play, despite a few challenges in the form of a red card and several substitution opportunities from both teams. It was a well-played match that offered exciting football for the few spectators who witnessed it.
