An exciting match between Sandvikens IF and Gamla Upsala SK took place at the Jernvallen VM arena on a sunny Saturday afternoon. In front of a crowd of 133 spectators, it was Sandvikens IF who opened the scoring as early as the eleventh minute, thanks to a convincing performance by Hayley Dowd, who managed to put the ball in the net behind Gamla Upsala SK's goalkeeper.
Sandvikens IF continued to have control of the match and was able to extend their lead in the 22nd minute, again thanks to Dowd and her goal in front of the goalpost.
Gamla Upsala SK tried to fight back and brought on Linn Jansson in the 24th minute in an effort to spark the attack. Sandvikens IF responded by bringing in Malin Qvarnström at the beginning of the second half.
Gamla Upsala SK finally managed to reduce the deficit with a goal from Sanna Öhlund in the 90th minute, but it was too late to threaten Sandvikens IF's lead, and the match ended 2-1 in favor of the home team.
Referee Christer Sterner maintained good control of the match and had to show a yellow card to Camilla Erkisi Saeid from Gamla Upsala SK in the 84th minute after a foul tackle.
Sandvikens IF continues to climb the table and now sits in third place following this victory, while Gamla Upsala SK is still struggling to climb out of the bottom of the table after nine matches.
