The match between Gideonsbergs IF and Skutskärs IF FK at Hitachi Energy Arena was an outstanding display of women's football. Gideonsbergs IF dominated the match from start to finish, winning convincingly with a score of 6-0.
In the 23rd minute, the home team took the lead with a beautiful strike from Astrid Nyquist. Just two minutes later, Nyquist expanded her goal tally by netting her second goal of the day. Before halftime, Liva Gillberg also got her name on the scoresheet, and Gideonsbergs IF went into the break with a comfortable 3-0 lead.
In the second half, Gideonsbergs IF continued to dominate the match. Nikita Stigsson and Lisa Themnér each scored a goal within a minute of each other, and the game was essentially decided by the 64th minute when the home team held a 5-0 lead. Matilda Ekblom then put the final nail in the coffin with her goal in the 70th minute.
Skutskärs IF FK tried to make a comeback by making some substitutions, but they failed to threaten Gideonsbergs IF's defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, the score was 6-0 in favor of Gideonsbergs IF, thus securing a convincing victory in front of the 80 spectators in attendance.
The new coaching duo of Agnes Rosén and Frida Westerlund can be proud of the team's performance and are looking forward to the next match in Division 1 Norra Svealand.
