It was Växjö who took the lead already in the seventh minute when Sara Wiman scored. Karlskrona tried to come back into the match but struggled to create dangerous chances. In the 28th minute, however, Elin Medin Hjertberg received a yellow card.
In the second half, Växjö increased their lead to 2-0 with a fantastic goal from Emma Andersson in the 58th minute. Karlskrona attempted to fight back but found it difficult to break through Växjö's defense.
In the 60th minute, Växjö made a substitution, with Erika Elg Viktor replacing Emma Andersson. Karlskrona tried to inject new energy with two substitutions in the 75th minute, bringing on Victoria Haakman and Matilda Eriksson.
Växjö made another substitution in the 76th minute when Maja Truedsson replaced Frida Karlsson. In the 89th minute, Sandra Barkstedt also made her entrance as she replaced Anna-Lisa Vestin.
When the referee blew the final whistle, it was clear that Växjö DFF had taken home the victory with a score of 2-0 against Karlskrona FF. A well-deserved win for Växjö, who could celebrate three points in Division 1 Östra Götaland.
