It was an exciting Division 1 Södra match between Onsala BK and Eskilsminne IF at Rydets IP A artificial turf this Saturday afternoon. The 65 spectators held their breath as the match kicked off, with both teams playing tough and pressing to try to take the lead.

It was Eskilsminne IF who first managed to do this when Alma Bertilsson scored a goal in the 23rd minute, and just two minutes later, she did it again, scoring her second goal, which gave Eskilsminne IF a 2-0 lead.

Onsala BK desperately tried to get back into the match and pressed high up the field, but Eskilsminne IF defended their lead well and effectively. Referee Elin Kängström had to pull out the yellow card after a tackle from Eskilsminne IF’s Emma Widesjö in the 36th minute, and Caprice Galvin from Onsala BK also received a yellow card for a foul tackle a few minutes before halftime.

At the beginning of the second half, Eskilsminne IF made another substitution, bringing in Julia Lennartsson for Emma Widesjö. Onsala BK responded by making two substitutions at once: Ida Thunberg was brought on for Klara Kindblom and Emma Nilvall for Sandra Johannesson.

Onsala BK continued to fight for a goal and made another substitution, with Linn Mörfeldt coming in for Isabella Nedrén and Elsa Svahn for Caprice Galvin. Eskilsminne IF also made a substitution, opting to replace Jasmine Hansen with Maja Strömberg.

In the 85th minute, Johanna Olsson from Eskilsminne IF received a warning for a harsh tackle. The match looked set to end without any more goals, but Jasmine Hansen from Eskilsminne IF managed to score a third goal just before the final whistle blew.

Eskilsminne IF won the match 3-0 and secured three important points. Despite the loss, Onsala BK can take positive aspects from the match and will surely look to bounce back and seek revenge in the next game.
