The final round of Division 1 Södra Götaland for women began with an exciting match between Nättraby GoIF and IS Halmia at Nättraby IP 1. With an attendance of 51 people and referee Anders Tell along with assistant referees Alessandro Bertoni and Abdullahi Hassan Abdullahi, the match kicked off at 3:00 PM on Saturday afternoon, May 19, 2018.

The situation leading up to the match was critical for Nättraby GoIF, who were at the bottom of the table before the match. IS Halmia, on the other hand, had secured their position in third place in the standings but needed a win to have any chance of moving up to second place by the end of the season.

The match started intensely for both teams, and in the thirteenth minute, Nättraby GoIF made their first substitution, bringing in Magda Sjösten for Klara Josefsson. Just 31 minutes into the match, Julia Tingström scored the first goal for Nättraby GoIF, giving them the lead to hold onto.

In the second half, IS Halmia managed to score a goal and earn a point when Nellie Andersson was substituted in for Emmy Zetterberg and scored the equalizer. Both teams fought hard to score more goals, but the match ended 1-1 after referee Anders Tell blew the final whistle after nine minutes of stoppage time.

Despite Nättraby GoIF playing well enough to take the lead, they failed to hold onto it until the end. IS Halmia, however, fought valiantly to secure a win but faced strong resistance from a determined Nättraby GoIF. With a result of 1-1, the teams shared the points, and IS Halmia thus missed the chance to move up to second place.
