It was a battle from the very first kickoff when Hammenhögs IF faced Borgeby FK in an afternoon match at Hamondavallen. The first goal came as early as the third minute when Annika Wedin intercepted a header and put it into the net for the home team. Borgeby, however, responded in the 44th minute when Louise Overgaard Persson scored the equalizer just before the teams went for halftime.

The second half started as intensely as the first, but it was Hammenhög that took the lead again in the 56th minute. Azra Tokovic sent the ball into the net after a good attack. Just two minutes later, Frida Parkhagen made it 3-1 for the home team. Borgeby did not give up, and Mathilda Holmberg reduced the score to 3-2 with a penalty in the 67th minute.

Borgeby tried to create more goal chances after the reduction, but the home team held tight, and the match ended 3-2 in favor of Hammenhögs IF. It was a tough match decided by a strong performance from the home team, which has a good foundation to build on. Borgeby, on the other hand, will need to work on their finishing ability if they want to win more matches.
