It was a gray day at Åhus IP A-plan where Åhus IF faced a significant challenge against Borgeby FK. Åhus IF, with five losses and one draw behind them, had not won any matches in this year's league play so far, while Borgeby FK had not lost in their last five matches.

The match started at 14:00 in front of an empty arena, and the referee for the day, Maja Nyberg, kicked off the game.
