The match between IFK Värnamo and IK Sleipner at Finnvedsvallen began with a strong start from the home team. Already after 13 minutes IFK took the lead through Loret Sadiku, and just four minutes later Jonathan Ring increased the lead to 2-0.

IK Sleipner had a tough time and got an early warning through Fredrik Hallsten Åström. Despite a substitution from the guests, IFK Värnamo managed to increase their lead further through Martin Claesson, which meant that they went to halftime with a lead of 3-0.
