It was an intense and exciting evening at Rimnersvallen when IK Oddevold hosted Örgryte IS in a match that turned out to be very dramatic. Just sixteen minutes in, Tom Ekliden put the ball in the net for the home team, giving them a 1-0 lead. Oddevold continued to apply pressure and created several dangerous goal-scoring opportunities but struggled to find the back of the net again.
In the second half, Örgryte began to get into the match more, and after fifty minutes, Matthias Penayes received a yellow card. Five minutes later, Andreas Clarholm was substituted for Nicolas Sandberg, who scored just ten minutes later, equalizing to 1-1 for Örgryte.
The atmosphere in the match changed when Danny Ervik of Örgryte received a red card following a nasty tackle, and Örgryte was forced to play the rest of the match with one man down. David Leinar also received a yellow card just a few minutes later for a tough tackle.
Oddevold continued to try to get the ball into the net, but it was Örgryte that managed to score the next goal. After substituting in Patrik Elmander, he scored the decisive goal of the match, allowing Örgryte to take home three points from Rimnersvallen. The home crowd of 1,605 was disappointed, but Örgryte celebrated an important victory.
