In the 34th minute, Örgryte IS's Oskar Wallén received a yellow card from referee Patrik Eriksson after a tough duel. Just a few minutes later, Johan Pettersson, also from Örgryte IS, received his first yellow card, and the risk of expulsion loomed over the team.
In the second half, something changed in the match. After just eight minutes, Oskar Wallén scored his first goal of the day, giving Örgryte IS a 1-0 lead. Wallén received much praise from the coach, and the team celebrated together on the field. However, the joy would not last long. Just a few minutes later, FC Trollhättan's Boyd Mwila scored to equalize at 1-1. Like Wallén, he also scored his first goal of the day and celebrated with grand gestures.
The game continued with more chances for both teams, but no further goals were scored. Referee Patrik Eriksson issued another yellow card, this time to Trollhättan's Johan Lundgren, and in the 73rd minute, Örgryte IS made their first substitution.
