Over 1700 people had gathered at Valhalla 1 Artificial Turf to watch Örgryte IS take on IK Gauthiod in a match where the circumstances were clear. Örgryte was leading the table while Gauthiod was struggling to stay in Division 1 Södra.

Just twelve minutes in, ÖIS took the lead when Oskar Wallén sent the ball past the goalkeeper. Gauthiod fought on but couldn't stop Richard Yarsuvat from making it 2-0 after 22 minutes. Anders Mogren received a warning for Gauthiod after 32 minutes, before Yarsuvat struck again, doubling the lead to 3-0 just before halftime.

At halftime, Gauthiod made a substitution, bringing in David Svensson in place of Daniel Mar Olafsson. Despite Mathias Carlsson receiving a warning for Gauthiod after 56 minutes, ÖIS continued to dominate the match. ÖIS made two substitutions: Christofer Bengtsson replaced Jakob Lindström, and David Björkeryd came on for Richard Yarsuvat. Björkeryd barely had time to warm up before scoring to make it 4-0 in the 73rd minute.

Gauthiod's David Svensson received a warning just a minute later, and ÖIS kept pushing forward with Joakim Hall replacing Hannes Sahlin, while Sebastian Nilsson came on for Gauthiod instead of Jonatan Nilsson. With 13 minutes left, Wallén scored his second goal of the match, making it 5-0.

IK Gauthiod desperately tried to reduce the deficit, but they were unsuccessful. Instead, Wallén completed his hat trick with a penalty in the closing minutes. Tobias Wennergren from Gauthiod received a red card for a rough tackle on Wallén, and the match ended in an overwhelming 6-0 victory for Örgryte IS.
